Austin's Hyde Park Bar & Grill Famous French Fries

Ingredients:

  • 1 large potato
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tbsp black pepper

Directions:

  1. Scrub to clean the skin nof a large Idaho potato; do not peel.
  2. Slice into large fries.
  3. Place into bowl filled with buttermilk.
  4. Toss a few slices at a time in flour mixed with the black pepper.
  5. Fry in hot canola oil 2-to-3 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy on the outside.
