Apple Dumpling Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp applesauce
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup skim milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°.
  2. Blend together applesauce and sugars.
  3. Combine the flour, oatmeal, cinnamon and baking powder in a bowl. Alternating with the milk, add the dry ingredients to the batter by hand, a little a time, stirring to blend.
  4. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets and bake until lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Once done, remove and place on cooling rack until suitable for consumption.
