Apple-Cheddar Brunch Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 (1 lb) loaf frozen yeast bread dough, thawed
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (omit if using apple pie spice)
  • 5 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese , , about 2 cups

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350F degrees.
  2. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
  3. Sprinkle work surface with flour, roll out bread dough until slightly larger than the sheet.
  4. Place dough on sheet, stretching to fit, roll edges slightly to form a shallow rim.
  5. Spread apples evenly over dough.
  6. In a small bowl, combine sugars, 2 Tbls flour, cinnamon and nutmeg (or apple pie spice).
  7. Mix well and sprinkle over apples.
  8. Dot with the butter.
  9. Sprinkle with cheese evenly over.
  10. Bake until the apples are tender and the cheese is bubbly, 25-35 minutes.
  11. Serve warm.
