Appalachian Cucumber and Onion Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • sugar (to taste)

Directions:

  1. Make a brine of equal parts water and vinegar, then sugar to taste.
  2. Slice cucumbers and onions into brine. Make sure you have enough brine to cover all of the slices.
  3. Set in the 'kelvinator' overnight, LOL.
  4. Serve chilled.
  5. Brine can be reused one time only.
