Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Let the butter and eggs stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. In a small mixing bowl stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Gradually add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time; beating on medium to high speed for 6 minutes total.
  4. Add vanilla then eggs, one at a time, beating for 1 minute after each addition and scraping the bowl often.
  5. Beat in milk. Gradually add flour mixture.
  6. Fold in pears and cranberries.
  7. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 13x9x2 baking pan evenly.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
