Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 -3 large overripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup chopped dates or 1/4 cup prune

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix in a bowl, flour, baking powder.
  3. In another bowl cream the sugar, butter, vanilla,honey,and orange zest.
  4. Beat in eggs and bananas.
  5. Gradually add dry to banana mixture.
  6. Fold in nuts and fruit.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 9x5 bread pan (loaf pan).
  8. Bake at 350°F for an hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
