Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 lb sliced then broken almonds

Directions:

  1. Beat butter until soft.
  2. Add sugar gradually.
  3. Blend until light and creamy.
  4. Beat in egg yolk and flour.
  5. Add almonds and extract.
  6. Chill dough for at least an hour to make easier to work with.
  7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  8. Roll about 1 tablespoon of dough between hands and form into crescent shape.
  9. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  10. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Roll in powdered sugar (may have to re-roll when cool).
