Weiner Bean Pot Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 2 (16 oz) cans pork & beans
  • 1/3 cup catsup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • hot sauce (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350 degrees in a 2 quart casserole or equivalent square or rectangular pan.
  2. Note: I have also made this vegetarian and vegan by substituting soy hot dogs and vegetarian baked beans and replacing the onion soup mix with dried minced onions, garlic powder and salt.
