Directions:

  1. Mix 1/2 cup Asian fish sauce (nuoc mam or nam pla), 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 1/4 cup lime juice, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 pressed or minced garlic cloves, and 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons (to taste) minced fresh hot chilies. Serve, or cover and chill up to 1 week.
