Ultimate Cake Cut-Out Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375* Mix sugar, shortening, margarine, vanilla and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  2. Divide dough in 4 equal parts. Roll each part 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutters.
  3. Bake until no identation remains when touched, 6 to 8 minutes.
