Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (1/2 lb) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cups (8 oz by weight) all-purpose flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar in an electric mixer.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Spoon the mixture into a pastry bag fitted with a star pastry tube.
  5. Pipe the equivalent of a teaspoon onto cookie sheets.
  6. Bake 18 20 minutes.
  7. Transfer cookies to racks. Cool. Store in an airtight container
