Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a crock pot Put can of black beans, one chopped onion, can of tomatoes, one can enchilada sauce and one chicken breast hole. boneless skinless.
  2. I only used about 1/3 of the mix. And that yielded me 14 tamales. When useing can beans rise and weight them, their about half the weight of the can.
  3. Go to sleep when use get up (8 hours later) take chicken out and shread. Add back to mix.
  4. Add can of corn
  5. If you want the filling losers just add some water. Don't worry if it's to watery the masa will just soak it up.
  6. Fillings Done.
  7. Start soaking corn husks it should take at least an hour.
  8. Add 2 cups of masa, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp baking powder to a stand mixer.
  9. Add2 cups of water mix
  10. Add 1/3 cup of oil. Mix Till it's turns airy and you can smell the masa. This should be paste like.
  11. To put them together take one corn husk smooth side up dry it off. Take about a good spoon full of masa Spread around. Spoon a small spoon full of the mix, fold the side together so you rap the masa around the filling. Rap the tail up. If it wants to open up just make some string with the corn husk and tie it off.
  12. Here's a web site with pictures of the process. /2010/01/tamales-part-3-assembly-finale.html
  13. Set in steamer basket. ( like for pasta)
  14. Steam for at least 2 hours.
  15. When you pull them to check for doneness let them sit and cool of a min. If the masa comes off the husk your done.
