Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal or 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tbsp flour

Directions:

  1. Using hands, combine ground beef, pork sausage, bread crumbs or oatmeal, sour cream, beaten egg, allspice, salt & grated onion in large mixing bowl and then form into balls.
  2. Melt butter over medium heat. Brown meatballs in butter.
  3. Meanwhile, dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water.
  4. When meatballs are nice and brown and cooked through, pour the bouillon mixture over top. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until right before serving.
  5. Before serving, thicken sauce. To thicken, mix flour with water to form a paste (like the texture of glue). Stir into sauce a little at a time. Let simmer. Repeat by adding more of a flour/water mixture until the gravy reaches desired consistency.
