Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp lard
  • 1 small egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar, flour, butter and lard and with your figures work mixture into fine crumbs.
  2. Set aside 1/4 cup for top crumbs.
  3. To the remainder of crumbs add baking powder, beaten egg, milk, salt and lemon juice.
  4. Mix well and turn into unbaked pastry shell then top with reserved crumbs.
  5. Bake for 35 minutes at 375.
