Stroganoff Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 (10 oz) can consomme (undiluted )
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. Meat Balls: Combine all ingredients in large bowl.
  2. Mix well and roll into balls of desired size.
  3. Place on edged cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, drain and set aside.
  5. Sauce: Brown onion in butter, add flour, mix well.
  6. Add ketchup and consommé, cooking slowly until thickened.
  7. Add sour cream, then meat balls.
  8. Place in casserole and heat in 300°F oven until serving time.
  9. Serve over broad egg noodles or rice.
  10. *I usually don't add the full cup of sour cream, but just add a bit at a time until I think it is right for me.
