Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 - 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 tsp whole cloves plus extra to put in peaches
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar and water to make a simple syrup
  2. Dip peaches in boiling water, quickly remove and slip skins off. Cut in half and remove pit.
  3. Stud peaches with a few whole cloves.
  4. Place peaches, syrup, vinegar, cinnamon and 1 Tbs whole cloves into a sauce pan. Heat to boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Drain and serve warm or chill and serve later.
