Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. If using canned fried apples, omit first four ingredients and skip to step #5. Note: if the sauce in the apples is very runny, use only a couple of tablespoons of it.
  2. Preheat oven to 325.
  3. In a 9 square baking pan, toss apples with melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until apples are tender but not mushy. When apples are done, chill until cool.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare instant pudding according to package directions; chill.
  6. In a bowl, layer apples in between two layers of pudding. Top with Cool Whip if desired. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
