Southern Peach Yam Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 32 oz canned yams drained
  • 2-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar, flour and nutmeg then cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add nuts.
  3. In a 1-1/2 quart casserole layer half the yams, peaches, sugar mixture and 2 cups marshmallows.
  4. Repeat layers of yams, peaches and sugar mixture.
  5. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining marshmallows.
  7. Broil until lightly browned.
