Ingredients:

  • 1 cup. butter
  • 1 cup. honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 cup. flour
  • 2 tsps. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and honey well, add beaten egg, sour milk, flour sifted with soda, spices and salt. Mix well and bake in two layers in a slow oven 275 degrees, for about 30 minutes.
  2. Watch close for honey cake burns very easily.
  3. You can use your own icing or serve hot without icing.
