Snow Topped Double Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a microwave, melt 1 cup of the chocolate chips, set aside to cool
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the butter and sugar thoroughly until creamy
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add melted chocolate chips and vanilla, beat until well incorporated
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture
  6. Stir in remaining chocolate chips and walnuts
  7. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours
  8. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
  9. Roll cooled dough into 1 inch balls then roll in confectioner's sugar
  10. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets
  11. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set and centers are almost set.
  12. Cool for 10 minutes
  13. Remove to wire racks
  14. Yields approximately 4 dozen
