Ingredients:

  • 1-1/3 cups pitted dates
  • 2 tbsp grated orange zest
  • about 2 tbsp brandy

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
  2. Place dates,apricots,nuts,ginger, and orange zest in a food .processor and process until finely minced.
  3. Add just enough brandy to enable the mixture to stick together and process to blend.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1 balls and roll in sugar to coat evenly.
  5. Place on the prepared baking sheet and let air-dry until no longer sticky,1 or 2 hours.
  6. To store line an airtight container with waxed paper and layer the balls in it between sheets of waxed paper.
  7. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks
  8. Makes about 4 dozen
