Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp caster sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 pint milk
  • 2 egg whites , whipped until stiff

Directions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients, except the egg whites, together to make a smooth batter.
  2. Fold in the egg whites.
  3. Cook in a Bain Marie for 40 minutes in a moderate oven.
  4. A Bain Marie is a double boiler.
