whole chickens, rinsed (or 3 lb. skinless chicken thighs), stalks celery , including leafy green tops, cut into large chunks, onion, halved (unpeeled ), carrot, quartered, chicken stock, fresh thyme, bay leaf, wild rice, unsalted butter, carrots, diced, stalks celery, diced, onion, finely chopped, all-purpose flour, salt, fresh ground black pepper, half-and-half, chopped fresh parsley, fresh squeezed lemon juice, buttery crouton ( s)

ground turkey or beef, cooked and drained, condensed minestrone soup, undiluted, chili beans, undrained, mexican diced or stewed tomatoes, undrained, mild, medium or hot picante sauce

carrot, diced, red pepper, diced, garlic cloves, halved, shallots, sliced thick, olive oil, coarse salt , to taste, fresh cracked pepper , to taste, fresh ginger, grated, vegetable stock (or whatever stock you like, sometimes i ll use shrimp stock and garnish the soup with sauteed shrimp), soy sauce, hot sauce (optional, i like louisiana hot sauce or aardvark sauce), greek yogurt (or tofu sour cream, for vegans), crouton (can be store-bought, or make your own)
