2848 chili using Recipes

prepared chili (use your favorite recipe for this ), tortilla chips, shredded cheddar cheese (or to taste), salsa , to taste, prepared guacamole, to taste (i use my own easy guacamole really easy and good creamy guacamole for this), sour cream (i use lots!)

chili sauce, grape jelly, lemon juice, beef bouillon cube, water, frozen meatballs (or use your own homemade )

pinto black , kidney (or a combo) or 4 (6 oz) cans chili beans (or a combo), green bell pepper, chopped (can use other colors , or a combo), garlic powder, can use more, mexican seasoning (or more ), crushed tomatoes in puree (i use progresso), crushed red pepper flakes (use more or less , it will control the heat, so remember -you can always add more of whatever you use), ground cumin (to taste), chili powder (i use gebhardt s, just make sure it s a good quality brand), thick & chunky salsa, beer, top sirloin steak, cubed, pork, cubed (i use pork butt, great flavor and fairly inexpensive), butter (1 stick), ground beef, ground pork, butter (1 stick)

coarsely ground heavy beef chuck or 5 lbs ground round or 5 lbs ground beef brisket (ask the butcher for chili grind ), wesson oil or 1/4 cup rendered kidney suet, onions, cumin seeds, commercial chili powder (make sure you get chili powder, not a chili mix or ground chili pepper!), garlic, msg (optional), chili pods, depending on heat level desired (if pods are not available, use cayenne pepper to taste), dried oregano leaves

extra virgin olive oil , eyeball it, garlic, coarsely chopped (i actually use up to a whole head sometimes, because i really love garlic), chili powder, grill seasoning blend (eg : montreal steak seasoning by mccormick grill mates). i just use hot hungarian paprika, which is excellent, salt to taste, fresh-ground black pepper, and some red pepper flakes (these are hot & spicy; use to your tastes), head broccoli, cut into thin, long spears (i use baby broccoli from trader joes and just trim the ends and halve the larger pieces.)
