Scrumptious Chocolate Layer Bars

Ingredients:

  • filling
  • 5 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 ts almond extract
  • crust
  • 3 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 ts almond extract

Directions:

  1. Mix chocolate chips, cream cheese and evaporated milk in a
  2. Saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until
  3. Mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 tsp.
  4. Almond extract. Mix well; set aside.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients. Blend well until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Press 1/2 crumbs (not too hard) in greased 9 x 13 pan. Spread with chocolate mixture. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 of crumbs over filling.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees F for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and
  8. Cut into bars. Makes approx. 36 bars.
