Sautéed Green Beans and Onions With Bacon

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Trim green beans and cut in half.
  2. Cook beans in boiling water for 4 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  3. Rinse with cold water; drain and pat dry.
  4. Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until crisp.
  5. Remove bacon from pan, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings in pan.
  6. Crumble bacon and set aside.
  7. Add onions to drippings, cook 3 minutes stirring occasionally.
  8. Add sugar and thyme, cook 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
  9. Add beans and cook for 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  10. Add vinegar, salt and pepper; toss to coat.
  11. Stir in crumbled bacon just before serving.
