Sausage Upside-down Cornbread

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Brown sausage, onion, and green pepper in a large skillet until sausage is brown and crumbly.
  3. Stir in the flour, then add the next four ingredients.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in cheese cubes and olives.
  6. Pour mixture into a 9 square pan.
  7. Prepare cornbread mix with eggs and milk, or according to package directions.
  8. Spread cornbread batter over sausage mixture.
  9. Bake 30-35 minutes.
  10. Let stand in pan for 5 minutes, then loosen edges with a spatula.
  11. Invert onto a plate or platter.
  12. Serve warm.
