  1. In a medium saucepan bring the water to a boil.
  2. Stir red-hots in simmering water until dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add jello mix and stir until dissolved.
  5. Stir in cold applesauce.
  6. Pour mixture into a serving dish and chill until set.
