Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and lemon peel. In another bowl, mix the flour, ground almonds and cinnamon; gradually beat into creamed mixture.
  2. Press 2 cups of the dough onto the bottom of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Spread with preserves. Crumble remaining dough over preserves.
  3. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar; cut into bars. Yield: 18 bars.
