Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Mix as a cake the butter, sugar, flour, soda, nutmeg and salt
  2. Add nuts, raisins, vanilla and milk
  3. Pour into lightly greased 9x9 square pan
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar over batter in pan, dot the remaining butter on mixture and pour boiling water over all.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 min.
  6. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
  7. Yummy but very rich!
