Quick Show Stopper Key Lime Trifle

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Remove frozen pie from carton :)
  2. Cut whole frozen pie into 1 inch squares
  3. Now whip the cream
  4. In mixing bowl, with an electric mixer, beat whipping cream until peaks start to form
  5. Add the sour cream, beating well
  6. Add powdered sugar slowly
  7. Beat until stiff peaks are formed (watch or it will turn to butter)
  8. In trifle dish, arrange a layer of the cut Key Lime squares
  9. Top this layer with strawberries, bringing them to the sides of trifle dish, so that color with show through
  10. Top with layer of whipping cream mixture
  11. Repeat layers, ending with whipped cream on top layer
  12. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, letting some of it run in crevices down the sides of dish, (this gives a little more definition to color)
  13. On top, with a table knife, swirl a little of the chocolate through the whipped cream, giving a marbelized look
  14. Dip the whole strawberry bottom half in chocolate
  15. Arrange the whole strawberries on top
  16. Refrigerate until ready to serve
  17. This is a delicious, wonderful, beautiful dessert, so just go for it and decorate it anyway you like.....you are the artist! :)
