Ingredients:

  • pumkin nut bread
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cup pumpkin
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 11/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 cup sifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. cream butter and add sugar gradually;
  2. Beat in eggs. add pumkin and vanilla. mix well, sift togather next several ingredients and blend with pumkin mixture. add nuts, thoroughly grease inside of coffee can [1lb.] and flour lightly. fill can about 2/3 full with batter. place can on baking sheet. bake at 350 degrees for 40 -45 minutes. let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  3. [ to freeze,place foil on top of can and cover with plastic lid.]
