Pork Chops with Shallots in White Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Season pork chops liberally with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in large skillet and brown pork chops on both sides.
  4. Remove pork chops to a baking dish.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. While pork chops are baking, add minced shallots to the same pan and cook for one minute.
  7. Add white wine and simmer until sauce becomes thicker and is reduced.
  8. Add chicken stock and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Return to simmer.
  10. Remove chops from oven and place on platter.
  11. Add the cold butter to the sauce.
  12. When melted, stir, and serve over the pork chops.
