Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sage
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Melt the butter into a large skillet at medium high heat.
  2. Combine the salt, pepper, and sage and rub the mixture into both sides of the pork.
  3. Cook the pork for 3 minutes on each side. Do NOT drain the pan.
  4. While the pork is cooking, core (but don't peal) the 2 apples and cut into rings about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Remove the pork and cover with foil.
  6. Cover the apple rings with the brown sugar and pour the lemon juice over them. Then, place the apples in the pan.
  7. Cook the apples in the same pan you cooked the pork until they are translucent and soft, turning them constantly.
  8. Remove the apples, layer, and pour any remaining liquid over both the pork and apples.
