  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat together butter and firmly packed brown sugar till light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla and mix well.Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in oats,pour into greased 9x13 pan. combine buttescotch morsels, nuts and coconut. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
