Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 4 sticks cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Soak prunes in water to cover 1 hour.
  2. Drain prunes; add enough water to liquid in which they soaked to make 1 1/2 cups.
  3. Combine water vinegar, and spices and bring to a boil.
  4. Add sugar and simmer for 12 minutes.
  5. Place prunes into sterilized jars.
  6. Pour liquid over prunes and remove any air bubbles.
  7. Seal and adjust with two piece lids.
  8. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
