Ingredients:

  1. Essense: Store in airtight container.
  2. Yield 2/3 cup Essence.
  3. Preheat the fryer.
  4. In a mixing bowl, add the onions.
  5. Season the onions with salt.
  6. Add the hot sauce and toss the onions in the sauce to coat each ring completely.
  7. Marinade the onions for at least 1 hour.
  8. In another bowl, add the four.
  9. Season the flour with Essence.
  10. Dredge the onion rings in the season flour, coating each ring evenly.
  11. Shake off the excess flour and fry the rings in batches.
  12. Fry the onion rings until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  13. Remove onion rings from the oil and drain on a paper plate-lined plate.
  14. Season the rings with Essence.
  15. Continue the frying process until all onion rings are fried.
  16. Serve hot.
