Pecan Monkey Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter (3/4 cup)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup halved pecans

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a plastic bag, combine brown sugar and cinnamon
  3. Tear or cut each biscuit into 4 pieces
  4. Put about 8 pieces in the plastic bag with sugar-cinnamon mix
  5. Shake to coat and place pieces into a roll pan or cake pan
  6. Scatter some pecans among the pieces
  7. Repeat process with the rest of the biscuit pieces and continue scattering pecan pieces until all pecans and biscuit pieces are in the pan
  8. In a saucepan heat butter and brown sugar until boiling.
  9. Pour butter and brown sugar mix over the top of the pieces in the pan and bake for 35 minutes or so
  10. Allow to cool and place onto a plate to serve, garnish with pecans
