Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/3 cups peaches, pureed
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well.
  3. Stir in peach puree and dry ingredients; add vanilla and pecans and mix well.
  4. Pour dough into 2 (9x5) well greased and floured loaf pans.
  5. Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour.
  6. Let cool 5-10 minutes before removing from pan.
