Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Place peaches in a greased casserole dish.
  2. Sprinkle with sugar and flour which have been mixed together.
  3. Sprinkle lemon juice over this and dot with butter
  4. Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder,and salt.
  5. Cut in shortening; stir in milk just to make soft dough
  6. Drop by spoonfuls into peach mixture
  7. Bake at 400 for 30 mins in 8X8 or 45 mins 9X13
