Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Get all of the ingredients together.
  2. If you have something you think would taste yummy steamed with shrimp, feel free to try it.
  3. I always use garlic and ginger though.
  4. Make the marinade sauce and marinade the shrimp for 1/2 hour to 1 hour, stirring 2-3 times.
  5. A shorter time will leave more shrimp flavor.
  6. A longer time will have a stronger teriyaki flavor.
  7. I usually go for 45 minutes.
  8. Once you're ready to cook, preheat the oven to 375 and make some rectangles of foil or parchment paper.
  9. Place a shrimp, a slice of ginger, a couple slices of garlic, some scallions, and a chili slice in the center.
  10. Make a sealed packet by folding over the edges several times.
  11. It's important to try and get the packet sealed air tight. The packets are suppose to steam while they cook so that all the flavor stays inside.
  12. If they aren't air tight, they'll still cook just fine, but they won't have as much flavor. If in doubt, try using a larger piece of foil.
  13. Place the packets on a cookie sheet and cook them in the preheated oven for 7-8 minutes.
  14. I usually just serve them sealed in the packets and let people open them themselves.
  15. BE CAREFUL!
  16. After they come out of the oven they'll be filled with super heated steam. it's easy to get burned as you tear them open.
