Overnight Orange French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 1 tbsp finely grated orange peel

Directions:

  1. In medium bowl beat eggs, orange juice, milk, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg.
  2. Place bread slices in rectangular pan overlapping if necessary.
  3. Pour egg mixture evenly over top then cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 400.
  5. Brush large baking sheet with melted butter then arrange bread on top in a single layer.
  6. Sprinkle with pecans and orange zest then bake until golden brown about 25 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately.
