Orange Bread With Dates

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs; mix well.
  3. Combine flour, soda, and salt.
  4. Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
  5. Fold in walnuts, dates, and orange peel.
  6. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 inch loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 350* for 60 minutes or until done.
  8. Combine glaze ingredients; spoon half over hot bread.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pans.
  10. Spoon remaining glaze over.
