Ingredients:

  • 1 cup. white sugar
  • 1/2 cup. oleo or spry
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup. buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cup. sifted flour
  • 2 or3 tbsps. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar and oleo, add beaten egg.
  2. Add sifted flour alternately with buttermilk.
  3. Bake in 9 x 9 x 3 pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
  4. 10 servings.
