Ingredients:

  • 1 -2 lb okra
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup biscuit mix
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper , to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Cut and slice okra in 1/2 inch piece, it will be slimy.
  2. Mix flour, cornmeal and biscuit mix together add salt and pepper to taste, set aside.
  3. Mix egg and milk together.
  4. Dip okra in to egg mix then in the flour mixture deep fry in 1 to 1 1/2 inch of oil in sauce pan or in deep fryer till lightly golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Enjoy.
