Never Fail Dill Pickles

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 alum
  • 1 -2 garlic clove
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup pickling salt

Directions:

  1. Place dill, pickling spice, alum, garlic, and hot peppers in bottom of jar.
  2. Pack cucumbers in jar.
  3. Mix water, vinegar, pickling salt and heat to boiling.
  4. Pour over pickles in jar and seal.
  5. Let set for about 4 weeks before using.
