Nana Jean's Chocolate Sponge Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tsp cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp cocoa

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar (just using wooden spoon).
  2. Add egg.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Fold in sifted flour and cocoa alternately with milk and vanilla/.
  5. Top with mixed cocoa and sugar.
  6. Gently pour hot water over ingredients.
  7. Bake in moderate oven for 30-40 minutes.
