Mom's Fresh Apple Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9 X 13 pan. Peel and dice apples.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, set aside. Beat oil, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in apples and (optional) walnuts.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
