Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow cream (more if desired)
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cream 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar til fluffy.
  3. Add 1 tsp vanilla.
  4. Beat in egg.
  5. Sift together dry ingredients.
  6. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
  7. Drop by well rounded tablespoon onto cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake about 8 minutes.
  9. Cool or racks.
  10. For filling mix all ingredients together until smooth.
  11. Spread on flat side of cookie and top with another cookie.
