Mixer Italian Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Mix yeast and warm water dissolve about 5 minutes
  2. Mix flour, salt and sugar in large bowl set aside
  3. In your kitchenaide mixer with the dough hook on, mix yeast mixture and 1 1/4 cups water until well blended
  4. Add a cup of flour mixture at a time
  5. Knead about 5 minutes or until well blended
  6. Place dough in a bowl and rub olive oil on it
  7. Let rise 1 1/2 hours
  8. Punch dough and split into two balls
  9. Roll each ball out into a 9 x 13 flat
  10. Roll like a jelly roll and place on pan
  11. Or roll into balls of any size
  12. Grease dough and let rise 1 more hour or until double in size
  13. Bake at 375 for 1/2 hour
  14. Crunchy outside and chewy inside
  15. Very good all around bread
  16. Great cheese and wine bread
